BBBBGoog ugh

This Blackboard / Google rumor makes no sense to me on the corporate culture levels.

Casey, I agree. Google does not like application spaces where customers are demanding and have complex requirements. Google would be smarter to just take the simplest core of Sakai, (already written in Java) replace calendaring, content authoring, and wiki with the corresponding Google products and then change the storage for the remaining apps to big table and then plug the bits into Sites, eliminating iframes, and voila! They are in the business with a prety-good product that users seem to be able to pick up without training.
